Recruiting

We started out as a RV transport company in 1987 with one office and a small staff.  Over the past 20 plus years we have grown to be one of the premiere driveaway companies in North America.  We are now operating out of six (IN, PA, GA, LA, CA and OR) offices located in key regional areas across the U.S. From the years 2007 – 2009 RV shipments steadily declined but Quality Drive-Away, Inc. persevered and remains a leader in the industry.  We have always been a diverse company but the economic changes of 2007 through the beginning of 2009 have made us even stronger.

What does this mean to the drivers at Quality Drive-Away, Inc.?  We have always taken pride in the fact that we work with many manufacturers in the RV, truck, bus and ambulance industry.  The RV industry may not be as strong as it was from 2002-2006 but by branching into delivering more trucks, buses and other wheeled freight Quality Drive-Away, Inc. has positioned itself to tackle the upcoming years as a leaner, stronger and more efficient company.  With six offices to work out of we offer more variety to our drivers than most of our competitors.  Each year we seek more customers and we in turn will need more drivers to service these customers.  As an example of this, our contract with Blue Bird School Bus went from moving 4,000 buses in 2006 to over 6,500 buses in 2007.  In 2008 we also began a new contract with Volvo, which will bring more work to CDL drivers on the East coast.  In 2009 we added Navistar to our customer list and 2010 brought more commercial truck and bus contracts.  What does the future hold?  Come join us and see.

Customer service and Quality Drive-Away are synonymous with each other.  As a “service based company” we must provide the best possible customer service available if we want to stay in business.   A big part of our success is due to the drivers we hire.  We are big enough to get the job done but small enough to still know our drivers by name.    We are looking for people that have a good attitude, are professional in how they look and act, have the qualifications for the job and the right equipment to perform their job duties.  As an Independent Contractor with Quality Drive-Away, Inc. you will enjoy being paid a competitive rate, have tolls, permits and washes reimbursed when applicable, have access to your pay advances and settlement payments in a timely fashion (usually the same day and often within hours of being dispatched or settled), and the freedom to set your own schedule.

Driver Orientation and Training

All of our contractors are required to attend an orientation class where they receive the appropriate training required for the position. These orientations include a D.O.T. physical and drug screen, and are held at our various terminals throughout the year.  The orientation class will take two days and includes information regarding FMCSA regulations, company policies and a driving test.  When arriving at orientation please make sure that your vehicle meets all of our requirements and that you bring copies of your registration, insurance and other applicable documents.  Qualifications and requirements can be viewed by looking at our current job listings and opening the job you are interested in.  In order to be scheduled for an orientation your application must first be approved by the recruiting department.  Check out our current job openings and apply online or contact our recruiting department to have one mailed or faxed to you.
